After working for 20 years as a pediatrician in Manhattan, I wanted to find a way to provide the same quality of care that I offered in my Manhattan office in my home town of Warwick, NY. I decided to take the first step by opening a small office at 104 Main Street, and after the practice expanded I moved to a larger, more spacious office at 7 Grand Street. The goal of our office is to offer pediatric care in keeping with the needs of today’'s parents and children. We will be offering extended evening hours Monday through Friday and will have hours all day on Saturdays and Sundays. We understand that with today’s busy schedules, many parents need to have availability to medical care for their children after work. We also understand that children get sick on evenings and weekends and we want to be available to care for these children. We also know that an emergency room can be a stressful place for a child and we will to do what we can to treat your child in our office in more friendly and comfortable surroundings. We keep a wide selection of medications available in our office so that we can start your child on their first dose of medication at times when the area pharmacies have already closed for the day. We want to get your child better as quickly as possible so that the entire family can get back to their regular routine. We can schedule routine physicals and well checkups to accommodate busy schedules. Our philosophy is to help parents make choices that they are comfortable with to keep their children healthy, both physically and emotionally. We are here to guide, educate and help you navigate your way through the information that is available on the internet, media and other sources that can sometimes be overwhelming and confusing when trying to do what is best for your child. Our philosophy on vaccinations is that they are important and are necessary to keep children protected from many illnesses. We do understand the concerns that many parents have with vaccines and we will continue to educate and help you make a decision that you feel comfortable with. We are willing to work with parents to schedule vaccines in ways that they feel comfortable with, so together we all reach the same goal of keeping your child healthy. In today’s ever changing medical environment, we are aware that there are many different ways to do things and we listen to our patients and practice medicine in a way that involves the entire family and meets the needs of each individual family. We also understand that technology plays a large role in today’s world and in particular medicine. All of our records are done with Electronic Medical Record keeping. All of our patients have access to a portion of their medical record through a patient portal on our website. This is a secure site and gives each family access to important information on their child like immunization history, allergies and past medical history. This is available at www.yourhometownpediatrician.com. Through this site patients can leave messages for prescription refills, mke appointments or ask non emergency questions. Our patients have access to the physician 24 hours a day 7 day a week through texting, email or direct telephone contact.
